It’s official: Allianz PNB Life (AZPNBL) is now a Great Place to Work™.

The recognition of AZPNBL as a Great Place to Work™ is its first certification from the Global Authority on Workplace Culture for the period of July 2023 to July 2024. AZPNBL is the third Allianz company in the Asia-Pacific region to receive the award alongside Singapore and Taiwan.

As digitalization becomes the New Normal, more and more companies have adopted a hybrid workplace setup—a mix of onsite and offsite office reporting. AZPNBL is one of them. According to a survey conducted among employees, the hybrid, flexible work arrangement is the most appreciated benefit of working at Allianz PNB Life.

The shift to a hybrid setup is patterned after the Allianz Global guidelines on Ways of Working (WOW). This allows employees the freedom of at least 40% remote work arrangements while also maintaining office space for creativity and collaboration. Even as pandemic restrictions were lifted, AZPNBL retained its flexible work environment, giving its employees the flexibility to work from home or anywhere they can be productive.

A workplace that values its employees

AZPNBL takes pride in its people-first culture. The company puts great trust in its employees and focuses on outcomes, not hours. Following the Allianz Global Meeting Etiquette, AZPNBL has Focus Afternoons from 12PM to 6PM every Wednesday to avoid “Meeting Overload” and allow enough time for the work that needs to get done.

The company invests in its people by providing tools, learning programs, and engagement activities that enable employees to grow in their careers across borders, cultures, and devices. AZPNBL also provides opportunities for employees to take care of both their bodies and minds through physical health initiatives and mental health benefits.

“Allianz PNB Life is a Great Place to Work™ because of its culture of Inclusive Meritocracy, where people and performance matter,” says Raissa Ocampo, the Learning, Engagement, and Culture Director. “We consider ourselves successful not solely on business results but on the extent that people’s overall well-being is at its optimum—touching on financial, career, and mental well-being.”

Great workplace, happy employees

Aside from the flexible work setup, AZPNBL employees also appreciate the company’s culture of diversity, camaraderie, and a feeling of community.

Ronald Felicilda, Head of Contracting and Support Services, says: “I am proud and happy to work for Allianz PNB Life. The company is committed to creating a positive employee experience and cares greatly for their employees. Our management fosters a community of learning and supports continuous development and innovation which all inspire me to be more driven and motivated. Here at Allianz PNB Life, you can just be you.”

Katherine Oliva, Chief Human Resources Officer, reveals that employee satisfaction rose significantly after the shift to a hybrid workplace. “We place very high value on our people who deliver on our Purpose of Securing the Future of Filipinos. I am proud that our employees gave us the highest marks on satisfaction, advocacy, and loyalty since our company’s inception. This reflects our optimism and enthusiasm to work harder together in fulfilling our Purpose.”

Of these recent achievements, including the successful shift to hybrid, international recognition and employee satisfaction, Chief Executive Officer Joe Gross has this to say: “We are proud to have been recognized as a Great Place to Work™. Our high-performance organization is filled with highly engaged and motivated employees who all work together to best meet the needs of our customers, distributors, and partners. We also make sure that our employees can perform at their best in a workplace that encourages and empowers them to thrive.”
