TikTok announces Top ‘Enrollees’ for TikTokU (2ndSem)!

TikTok announced on the platform the winners of #TikTokU (2nd Sem) last September 27, 2020, as part of its continuous initiative to promote in-app learning. Educational content poured in as entries for the second phase of #TikTokU, which garnered a total of 2.1B views since its successful run in the first half of 2020. 

TikTokU (2nd Sem) kicked off the search for a new wave of content creators on September 1, 2020, to bring more quality learning-driven content to the platform. The campaign covered a diverse variety of categories which were identified through seven (7) tracks: Education, Cooking, Fashion, Art, Talent (excludes dance tutorials), Sports & Fitness, and Occupation.

Bagging the top prize for each category were the following creators:

@kilimanguru won for #EdukasyongPinoy (Education), which covered DIY & life hacks, motivational content, advice, educational content, and tutorials.

@jeromeianafan bagged the top #LutongPinoy (Cooking) content, which highlighted food and instructional cooking content.

@paulivandg rose as the cream of the crop in the  #PinoyFashion (Fashion) category, which featured design tips and hacks, makeup tutorials and skincare tips.

@matthewmanalo_art became the winner for #PinoyArt (Art), which focused on the creative process in painting, drawing, writing and other art tutorials.

@iamkielsantos showcased #PinoyTalent (Talent) and won the track for singers, musicians and exceptional talents.

@skyezhia clinched 1st place for #KalusugangPinoy (Sports and Fitness) that promoted overall health and wellness through tips and tutorials.

@murielnico excelled in the #GalingNgPinoy (Occupation) category, where users uploaded various skill-teaching content.

A total of PhP1.2M was given away for this campaign, which aimed to bring learning straight to everyone’s smartphones, giving them access to practical tips and up-to-date knowledge, all from talented creators in the Philippines. See the full list of winners here.

 

Phase 1 of the campaign, launched last May 2020, paved the way for learning and educational content on the platform. Among the top winners of the TikTok Phase 1 Senior Scholarship Award were TikTok creators Arshie Larga, Lyqa Maravilla, and Show Suzuki. Each of them created a variety of educational content, which was truly embraced by the learning community.
