SM Supermalls, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), has been holding job fairs across various SM malls in the Philippines and it’s making a big comeback in time for Labor Day! These job fairs aim to provide employment opportunities for job seekers, as well as to support the government’s efforts to reduce unemployment in the country.

This year, The SM Supermalls is very proud to be the major partner of the DOLE in this year’s nationwide Job Fair and even after May 1, this partnershipwill continue as it opens their malls as an official venue to job fairs all over the country.

The job fairs are open to all job seekers, including fresh graduates, returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), and those who have been displaced from their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. DOLE have invited various companies to participate in the job fairs, offering a wide range of job opportunities in different industries such as retail, hospitality, business process outsourcing (BPO) and the likes.

During the job fairs, job seekers can submit their resumes and undergo initial interviews with the participating companies. Some companies even conduct on-the-spot job offers, which means that qualified applicants can receive job offers on the same day.

This partnership is part of their commitment to support the government’s initiative to reduce unemployment and promote economic growth. By providing job opportunities, they hope to help job seekers find stable employment and improve their lives.

As the official venue of DOLE for Job Fairs nationwide, this partnership serves as a testament to SM Supermalls’ commitment of uplifting and serving the communities they operate in. The Job Fairs will take place at SM City North Edsa, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Southmall, SM City Baguio, SM City Urdaneta Central, SM City Tuguegarao, SM City Cabanatuan, SM City Tarlac, SM City Olongapo Central,SM City Pampanga and SM City Telabastagan.

 

Other malls include, SM City Marilao, SM City Grand Central, SM City Fairview, SM City East Ortigas, SM City Marikina, SM Cherry Antipolo, SM City BF Paranaque, SM City Sucat, SM Center Muntinlupa, SM City Tanza, SM City Dasmarinas, SM City Santa Rosa, SM City Lucena, SM City Lipa, SM City Naga, SM City Daet, SM City Sorsogon and SM City Legazpi.

Other locations will be at SM City Cebu, SM Seaside City Cebu, SM City Iloilo, SM City Roxas, SM City Bacolod, SM Cagayan de Oro, SM City Puerto Princesa and SM City General Santos. Also included are SM City Ormoc, SM City Davao and SM City Butuan.

Since 2008, SM Supermalls has been partnering with DOLE in conducting a nationwide job fair. And over the years, these job fairs at SM have allowed employers to conveniently tap into the vast talent pool of the Filipino workforce. Participating employers include local-based and overseas-based companies.
