Kicking off 2024, Century Tuna, the leading tuna brand in the Philippines, and COMCO Southeast Asia, the flagship PR agency of trailblazing and global award-winning communications group COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises continue to win major awards from international organizations for the Saving Our Seas initiative.

CSR and Sustainability Award at the PRCA APAC Awards 2024

Century Tuna and COMCO Southeast Asia continue to be recognized for the Save Our Planet, Save Our Seas – The Century Tuna’s “Saving Our Seas” Initiative as the campaign bags the CSR and Sustainability Award at the PRCA APAC (Public Relations and Communications Association Asia-Pacific) Awards 2024.

The PRCA APAC Awards recognizes the best PR and communications campaigns, teams, and individuals in the region. The ceremony is organized by the PRCA, the world’s largest professional PR body composed of more than 35,000 PR professionals from 82 countries worldwide.

COMCO Mundo also received finalist citations in the following categories including the Large Consultancy Award, PR/Communications Leader Award for COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises’ Group Chief Executive Director and Lead Strategic Communications Counsel / Partner and Co-Founder Ferdinand L. Bondoy, Strategic Communications Award for the COMCO Mundo Epic 7 Years Anniversary campaign, and Media Relations Award for the Meaningful Storytelling with COMCOmigos: The COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises’ Media Relations Program.

The UNMASKED: The COMCO Mundo Write to Ignite Initiative Season 3 also received the finalist citations for the Digital & Social Media Award and Measurement and Evaluation Award.

Best CSR Communications – Gold Award at Marketing-Interactive PR Awards Asia-Pacific 2024

Century Tuna, the leading tuna brand in the Philippines, and COMCO Southeast Asia, the flagship PR agency of COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises, were recognized by the Marketing-Interactive PR Awards Asia-Pacific 2024 as the Best CSR Communications – Gold Award for the Save Our Planet, Save Our Seas – The Century Tuna’s “Saving Our Seas” Initiative.

The Saving Our Seas initiative was launched to address the growing the growing threat of plastic pollution, protect marine biodiversity, and reinforce the idea of plastic circular economy in the Philippines.

The PR Awards 2024, through the leading source of advertising, marketing, and media intelligence Marketing-Interactive, recognizes outstanding works that reflect the disciplines in the PR and communications industry in the region.

The campaign was also nominated for the Best Launch/Re-launch Campaign.
COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises received finalist citations in the different major categories including PR Team of the Year (Agency), PR Champion of the Year (Agency) for COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises’ Group Chief Executive Director and Lead Strategic Communications Counsel / Partner and Co-Founder Ferdinand L. Bondoy, and Best Anniversary Campaign for the “EPIC 7 Years with COMCO”.

Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) also received a nomination in the Best PR Campaign: Electronics & Gadgets category for the 2023 Galaxy Z Series Launch. TARO AOX Inc., COMCO Mundo’s digital and integrated communications arm, is the PR and communications agency of SEPCO.

Aside from the recent awards bagged at the PRCA APAC Awards and PR Awards, the Century Tuna’s “Saving Our Seas” Initiative also received the Platinum Award in Strategic Communications in the globally acclaimed MarCom Awards 2023 in the USA and the finalist citation at the ICCO (International Communications Consultancy Organisation) Global Awards 2023 in London, UK for Best Purpose Campaign.
