Do you know that according to the PISA 2022 reports that one out three Filipino students are being bullied in schools? Bullying, harassment and other forms of school violence have serious impacts on learners’ mental health. In the Philippines, over 40% of learners aged 13-17 report experiencing bullying at school in a year and only 29% report that their parents had understood their worries over a month.

Fortunately, a few films have managed to break through clichés and present stories that feel more grounded in reality, like “BELIEVE IT OR NOT?”. This contemporary and relevant story follows Billy, an out-of-school youth from the province who gains the opportunity to attend a private school thanks to his mother’s employer. Alongside his classmates, Nathan and Orly, he witnesses the different forms of bullying at their school, which is led by Brenda and her friends.
