Remember the excitement of planning a movie day, meeting up with family or friends, getting your popcorn, and settling into your seat as the lights go down? This National Cinema Day, SM Cinema brings back that familiar joy of watching movies together, with special cinema rates starting at only P100.
As a preferred destination for big-screen entertainment, SM Cinema invites moviegoers to enjoy a full day of films at their most loved SM malls nationwide. Regular cinema tickets are priced at P100, Directors Club at P300, and IMAX and ScreenX at P500.
The one-day celebration brings together cinema exhibitors, film distributors, and moviegoers under the message, “One industry. One day. One big-screen experience. September 12. Let’s bring the Philippines back to the movies.”

Moviegoers can choose from a lineup of local and international films, including Poon, Life After You, Practical Magic 2, Fall 2, Bamboo Revenge, Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway, and The Odyssey, among others. Film availability varies by cinema and format.
The special rates apply to regular screenings throughout the day and are available through on-site ticket purchases at SM Cinema box offices. Private screenings, block screenings, and special events are excluded, where applicable.
Moviegoers can also complete their maxed out cinema experience with Snack Time’s P99 National Cinema Day combos, featuring popcorn or hotdog options with bottled water, available at all Snack Time branches on September 12.
More than a movie, National Cinema Day celebrates the simple pleasures that have long made going to the cinema a shared experience. The anticipation before the movie, the first bite of popcorn, the lights going down, and the conversations about the film afterward are all part of what makes a day at the movies memorable.
This National Cinema Day, bring back those movie-day moments and create new ones with the people who matter. Bring your family and friends, pick your film, and experience the magic of the big screen at your nearest SM Cinema.
Save the date, September 12, and make it a movie day at SM Cinema. With tickets starting at just P100, there’s never been a better time to head back to the big screen.
One industry. One day. One big-screen experience. Let’s bring the Philippines back to the movies.
